WFP July 4 Patio Events

The 4th of July has always meant a big party on the WFP patio —at least, it did until the summer of 2020. For this year, we’re keeping an eye on government requirements but also making it possible to enjoy some time with neighbors by creating three small group events.

We have availability for three seatings of 12 people each. The times have been set aside, but there is also some unscheduled time for those who wish to use the patio alone or with non-WFP family and guests.

The schedule for this run of WFP-only parties includes:

  • 11:00 – 1:00 Brunch
  • 4:30 – 5:45 Happy Hour
  • 6:15 — 8:30 Dinnertime

Any event that does not receive at least six reserved seats will be cancelled and the patio will be available for others to schedule.

The grill will be turned on and available to everyone. Tables will be set up for the shared dishes. If you could help us decorate the patio on the 4th, that would be fantastic! Please leave a note in the comments, below, or on the sign-up form.

Each event is pot luck, so please bring something to share, based on the event. The dinner crowd should also bring their own main course portion as well, whether prepared or ready-to-grill. Everyone is responsible to supply a few things for personal use:

  • Plate
  • Eating utensils
  • Napkins
  • Non-breakable drinkware
  • Beverage (share if you like)

Our patio has three round tables, with four chairs each. Multnomah County is currently in the “lower” risk category and Oregon requirements limit outdoor social gatherings to 12 people, so this is perfect. If the Governor’s office changes requirements, we will update our events, as needed.

If you are interested in being at one of the three events, please fill out the form, below, no later than June 28. Final confirmations will be sent out to the email address you provide by June 30, at the latest. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t hear from us.

Note that each reservation request is for your household only. Please do not use one request for multiple households.

If you plan to entertain on July 4 with guests or family who live outside WFP, please use the in-between times, or one of the weekend days. These three gatherings are WFP-only events, to limit exposure for everyone.
